I seem to recall reading on this forum that there are problems creating a terrain from multiple field books. Is this still a problem in GEOPAK v722? Specifically I have one dgn with a single field book created from one data file, and another dgn with a single field book created from two data files. Both dgns have been edited. I would like to create a terrain using points from both field books while honoring each point's DTM flag (spot, spot and break, do not include, etc.)

There was really no issue. The field books are designed for one project with multiple datasets. This is as designed. you can always merge the terrains or tins once you are done with the edits.

So, how can I create a terrain from two different dgns that have overlapping field books? One dgn is a smaller survey of only certain features, and the other dgn is a quite larger survey that include the bulk of my terrain points and breaklines. However, the smaller dgn contains several points that I would like to include in the terrain.
Can I use the smaller dgn as a dataset in the larger dgn's fieldbook? I can't simply take the smaller dgn's datafile and import it into the larger fieldbook because several edits were done to the points in the dgn itself.
yes. first back up your dgn's
I think the easiest way would be to open the dgn with the small data and right click the field book and export it as landxml
this will save all your edits.
open the dgn with the large dataset and right click the filed book and load file, find the landxml and done.
you will see that you will automatically get a merged terrain with all fieldbooks in it.
