PowerCivil Point cloud import failed

Do you get an error message or does the process just time out?

I got the message "Point cloud failed to import" as you can see to the left in the picture. However, when I clipped the point cloud and used only the clipped part to create a terrain model it worked. So it seems like the problem was too many points. I managed to create a Scalable Terrain Model with Descartes though and that worked with the whole point cloud. I don't know why that worked and not the other way.

I am getting this same error in Open Roads, I am using a fairly large point cloud model. Have tried clipping it in the point cloud manager, but get the same import failed message.

This appears immediately- doesn't time out or seem to fail mid processing.

I know another thread on here discussed changing the"Lock Triangulation" and the "Extended Data Checks" options in inroads/ geopack to fix, but I cant find any similar options in MX/ OR. -

after filtering the data, trimming and using groundpoints only I managed to import.
