Create profile in PowerCivil with alignment.

I know how to create cross sections from a terrain model with an alignment. Is there a similar way to create a profile along the alignment?

  • If you are trying to create an annotated profile for plotting, for example , do the following:

    1. Export the alignment back to native product (MX, InRoads, GEOPAK)
    2. Export the terrain element to native product
    3. Use standard native product functionality to create the profile for plotting

If you only want to create a working profile through the terrain so that you can create vertical geometry for the alignment:
    1. Set terrain as active terrain
    2. Select the alignment, and from the pop-up menu, select 'Profile' window, and choose a view that you would like to see the profile in (or Vertical Geometry > Open Profile Model (Q1))
