Processing change events

To clarify.... you have separate DGN files, each with a Survey fieldbook in the DGN. What process are you using to merge them into one master file?

Yes, separate dgns each with a separate survey fieldbook.

To merge, I stared with a seed file and referenced in the individual survey dgns. I've been adding to the overall survey file as the individual intersection dgns become available. When each individual dgn is referenced into the overall survey dgn, I merge into master.

I did not reproduce with my test dataset. Can you attach the files so that I can try to reproduce?

And I've attached the individual files in a single zip file.

I do see that the "merged.dgn" hangs at 20% with a "Survey>Processing change events".  I will have to log this with development to see if they can make a fix so it doesn't hang.

However, when I merged the 18 files into 1, I did not see the problem.  Can you see if you have any problems opening my merged file.

Here is the procedure I used:

1. Opened the first file "114703_PL_3D_Farley.dgn"
2. Saved the file as a new name to be the new master file.
3. Deleted all data out of the file.
4. Referenced in the 18 survey files
5. Ran Merger Master on the 18 references.
6. Closed GEOPAK and re-opened into new faster file.

Do you get this failure every time you try to merge master?

I am able to open your merged file without Geopak hanging.

I tried again referencing in the 18 files and merging into a seed file. Not sure what happened this time but all seems to be working as expected... no hanging. I don't know if this would make a difference, doesn't seem like it should... but I am receiving pieces of survey (single intersections) at a time and merging them individually when I get them (not all at once). Would that have anything to do with Geopak hanging??

I can easily re-reference & merge all the survey files I have to date to solve the problem. I was just curious why this was happening.
