Too many elements for civil rule creation - impacts

The Civl Rules are when civil geometry rules have been assigned to elements. The screen shot below shows the civil geometry rules that can be manipulated.

An element with no civil rules will show as below, it can be used forOpenRoads design, corridors, linear templates, etc but the geometry can't be manipulated.

I have a similar situation in OpenRoads SS4. Only my vertical will not import due to the fact that the vertical was developed from the existing ground and has too many PVI's. The alignment is being used in Point Controls and I need this work. How do I remove the civil rule so I cam import correctly. I am using the Examples workspace.

Hello Joe,

You can make a copy of the element with no civil rules applied. For this, select  'Horizontal Geometry > Copy Element' and check mark the option 'Do not Copy Rules'.

Thanks for the reply, this occurs when I import the alignments from SS2. So, I need the civil rule not to apply upon import.

Okay, while import you may consider unchecking the option 'Create Civil Rules'

I did uncheck this before the import. It would not work.
