Too many elements for civil rule creation - impacts

When importing an alignment with General Geometry Import, from a .gpk, one of my advanced users is getting a message stating "Horzontal contains too many elements for civil rule creation."  What does this mean and what are the impacts?

  • I really need to have this import from file (SS2) to work for all of my alignments. The verticals are comprised with many PVI points. The project is for a full depth reconstructed Median by utilizing existing pavement edges where I need to raise the existing edges by 2.5" and match existing cross-slope for an overlay adjacent to the Median. The elevations of the Median barrier were hand calculated due to shoulder rollover values. The elevations or PVI's were calculated every 10'. This is the only way that I could control the modeling process in SS2.
