We are suffernig from a lack of a few simple software improvements. Corridor Objects is perfect place to manage your corridor definition but a few things are missing:
1) Parametric Constraints: We would need 3 additional columns: Description; Start Value; Stop Value
2) Point Controls: We would need additional columns: Plan/Profile Element; Start Offset; Stop Offset
These few easy improvements will really improve productivity.
Please take note, in OpwenRoads Environment whenever we use element as e reference we do not know its orgin dgn file. This refers to corridor definition and to point control entry as well. We woud like to be able to obtain information about orgin dgn file of reference element, like: FileName.dgn:PlanElement:ProfileElement. It worked that way in Roadway Designer.
And with OpenRoad where we take an advantage of Microstation referencing capabilities that would be even more important that it was in SS2. Now when we have a corridor.dgn with a few geometry.dgn files attached we do not know wchich file was used to create corridor. We just know Plan Name...
Thanks,
Adam
Hi Adam I'll log enhancements requests for the additional columns in the Parametric Constraints and Point Control tables. Enhancement 157483 has been logged regarding showing the reference source for the Plan Elements for Point Control. I'll create an enhancements requests for showing the reference source for the Plan Elements for Corridors. Regards Jason
