3D represenation by feature definition

I suppose OpenRoad technology has moved the debate on design by visualization a great deal but whiles a number of 3D representations are possible based on the fact that the material templates are provided within the software, what happens when the materials in question cannot be found within the products. To illustrate my point, I am trying to model roads and sites similar to the one shown in the pictures below. How do I overcome this?. Please see attached

  • Hi Mr Hazel

The visualizations shown in the attached images are possible to be created for the most part with our software. Some features such as the "rounded peeling back of a surface" or other "effects" may require the help of a program such as photo shop.

As for materials, there is no limit to the materials that can easily be created within MicroStation. A good source of training materials for Rendering and Animation in MicroStation would be the books written by Jerry Flynn, and the content included on Bentley Learn.

We hope you take the time to dive into these resources..
