How can I get rid of stray lines in the cross sections at template transitions?

please check that the point names are the same on both template drops. if they are not, the program will try to connect them.

I guess I'm wondering why these criss-crossing lines show up. Are they an artifact of the software attempting to make a transition between two templates? They appear as soon as I drop my second template.

So can I force a discontinuity between templates? In SS2 I could disable template transitions. In my current case, I have only inserted a template and not added a transition.

Also, in trying to connect template points, is it original template points names that are being connected, or are the point name overrides being invoked?

Adding to my questions - when I push traditional cross sections out of the model, I do not see the stray lines that I see in the dynamic cross sections. So what are these stray lines, and do I care? I use the dynamic cross sections for trouble shooting, and the sudden appearance of these lines makes me think there is something awry with the template transition or with the model. It would help me to know why these lines appear and how they can be used (or not) in evaluating the integrity of the model.

Upon further testing, we were able to reproduce the problem and this is some bug in the program. As an initial test, I changed the design stage assigned to the corridor to the "3-Final" design stage delivered in the example workspace and the issue went away. We found that the ultimate cause of the problem is a template interval greater than 1 will cause the stray graphics to appear. So as a work around, you can either:

1. Assign the design stage on the corridor as "3-Final", "4-Final W/ Meshes", or "8-Final Components"
2. Edit your design stage that is assigned to the corridor and change the Drop Interval to 1.

I will log the defect and post the defect information here for reference.

This appears to just be a graphical issue.  This only happens in the dynamic cross sections which are not used for any component quantities reports.  If you 'Create Cross Sections' or review the 3D components in the model you do not see these stray lines.

I ran a test using the Corridor Modeling > Component Quantities report and at the station in question, it is reporting the station 11+500 twice but only because you have the stop template drop at 11+500 and the start of the next template at 11+500.  You can see from the attached screenshot that the Volume for the second instance of the drop is not computed so there is no issue in what is reported.  Also if you compare the different component volumes of that station to a previous station with the same component, the volumes of these components match so there is no change in the quantities.  The closed 'area' of the shapes is not changing so the volume will be reported the same.
