for a primary or secondary you can use features you want to draw batter lines between. For reference use for example edgo of pavement or even centerline. This way you will be sure that left and right sided ticks are alinment correctly.

But I'd suggest you tried what would fit best to your workflow.

You are correct! This s what I need. Its weird that Bentley hasn't listen and created a tool for this. I have some questions about the drafting tool: Draw Slope Direction Pattern. What should i use as primary, secondary and reference element?

I think the question is not about Slope Vector but more about slope hatches (batter lines).

For now you need to use drafting tool: Draw Slope Direction Pattern.

we have been waiting for something more efficient for years. Please log Customer Request for such a functionality so Bentley is aware how many users need it.

Using the OpenRoads tools, you can import your top mesh as a terrain model and then turn on the Display for Flow Arrows.

The other alternative is to export the terrain model to a DTM and use the Surface>View Surface>Slope Vectors command in the native InRoads Explorer.
