[SUE] Filtering

Does anybody know how I can apply a filter to find all the elements in my SUE Drainage network that have something in the Notes on the utility properties?

Thanks

  • Assuming I understand the question:  You have some notes in SUE features that you want to select these  features for further action?

    Give this a try:

    1. In the 2D view open Query Manager.
    2. Make a new query (top left button)
    3. In the next dialog box choose storm segments or storm nodes as query type
    4. Then there will be a box which lists the various properties available on this type.  Double click Notes
    5. You will see Notes in the bottom panel where your query is being created.
    6. In the middle you can choose "equal" or "Contains" as appropriate then the string you are searching for.
    7. For example the query my read something like: Notes = "My Note"
    8. Save the query. then in query manage click the select button at top.  All the features which have the note will be select
    9. Finally, in FlexTables right click on the matching storm segment or storm node and choose Open on Selection to see a list of all the features with your note.

I know this seems like a lot of steps but I have been a little more literal than perhaps necessary.  It is a simple process but a couple of practice runs is a good idea to get accustomed to the workflow.
