OpenRoads ViewSet.mvba - 3d Vertical Exaggeration tool "ExaggerateZForAttachment"

One aspect of using Bentley OpenRoads software that has taken some getting used to is the ability to quickly view 3d model data with exaggerated z scale. Luckily, I came across a macro in the Benltey installed workspace that addresses this task. I thought others would like to know this macro exists (I sure would have). The file is "ViewSet.mvba" (\WorkSpace\Projects\Examples\Bentley-Civil-Imperial\prefs\ViewSet.mvba) and the subprocedure is "ExaggerateZForAttachment". There are other macros contained in this file, but the ExaggerateZForAttachment has been most useful to me, thanks to whomever wrote it.

As a note on this VBA, the exaggeration compounds. If you input an exaggeration of 5 and datapoint on the view, it will exaggerate the view by 5. Then if you change the exaggeration to a different value and datapoint, it will compound on the previous temporary view. You will need to "Remove Exaggeration" to get it back to the normal view if you want to use a specific exaggeration.

Chris,

A couple of questions for you regarding this macro.

I can't seem to get it to work even though I am loading the viewset.mvba. How is this tool started?

I had a colleague show me how this works and it appeared in his demo that it only works on components in the active file and not referenced from other files. Is this the correct behavior?
