CHANGE HORIZONTAL ALIGNMENT INTO THE CORRIDOR

Hello Community.

I have a complex corridor with several Corridors Objects.
I need to change horizontal alignment linked to that coriidor. Using an alternative horizontal alignment.
Is this possible? Or I have to repeat again the corridor with all conditioning factors. (Parametric Constrains, Point Controls, End condition exceptions....)

Thanks.

  • I concur with Adam on this one. It is not possible to do this with the current version of SS4. The corridor reads the GUID of the horizontal element and therefore can not be replaced, even if the name is the same.

Thus, we also use native geometry (ALG) to control alignment information. Edits to the alignments are done in the ALG file and then imported in to the DGN. If the horizontal alignment has the same name then it will update in the DGN upon import.

  • I tried this "Edits to the alignments are done in the ALG file and then imported in to the DGN. If the horizontal alignment has the same name then it will update in the DGN upon import."  but the result was not desired.

To update my Geometry reference my corridor has disappeared.

    I've done something wrong?
    Some help please
    Thanks
  • Well, you are kind of stuck because there are some requirements for this to work.

First off, all your alignments must be in an ALG file, then you import to a DGN, then build the corridors....or another way to say it is the alignments must originate in an ALG file and then be imported in to a DGN file. If you build an alignment in a DGN file using the civil geometry tools then export to native, then edit, then reimport, you will get a new geometry element with a name appended (Ramp to Ramp1 for example).

Can you not just simply edit the alignment in place using the civil handles and rules?
  • Thanks.

I can´t edit the alignment in place using the civil handles and rules..

The civil handles are  visible in Complex Elements Type 1, but they are not visible in Complex Elements Type 2. Why?

Is posible convert Complex Elements Type 2 in Complex Elements Type 1?

I managed to use my alternative alignment using it as a Point Control.

Even though this is not the ultimate solution.

Someone in Bentley Knows if OpenRoad allow in future versions modify the horizontal alignment associated with a corridor?

In SS2 this was to be done without problem in the IRD.

    Thanks.
