CHANGE HORIZONTAL ALIGNMENT INTO THE CORRIDOR

Hello Community.

I have a complex corridor with several Corridors Objects.
I need to change horizontal alignment linked to that coriidor. Using an alternative horizontal alignment.
Is this possible? Or I have to repeat again the corridor with all conditioning factors. (Parametric Constrains, Point Controls, End condition exceptions....)

Thanks.

  • We logged that as a Customer Request long time ago. This is very common in engineering workflows. AFAIK it is not possible now, you can try to use ICM tools to play with it.

Actually this is one of top reasons for which we still use native geometry tools and alg format.

I hope you guys at Bentley read this forum and can see what users need.

In the context of OpenRoads, there is a field in the Corridor Objects on the Template Drop tab for "Horizontal Name" which holds the alignment name. It's greyed out, but if it wasn't, that could be one way to modify the alignment. This would be absolutely lovely. With all the other things that can be changed fluidly, this seems like just one small step toward perfection.
