Annotations changing from color ByLevel to 0 after changing a point.

Is there a setting that changes the color of annotations to flag it when a point has been changed? It will only do this after closing the file and going back in later. I'll attach a data set that I'm using, the .dgn I was using, and our Survey Feature Codes- but if I create a new file I can change the Feature code of any point and use the Redraw tool with no effect on the annotation color. If I close the file and go right back in and do the same thing the annotations' color will change to 0.

  • We have been asked to look at this again with you. Please post a dataset. Include the xml and smd file along with any dgnlib. It may be helpful to have a video of the steps and any configuration variables you have set that pertain to the survey portion of the program.

  • I'm sending the files through the Secure File Upload.

    Steps that I did:

1: Open the blank .dgn and load the .xml into a Field Book.

2: Changed the Feature Definition of the MS point to MH. No change in annotation color.

3: Ran Survey Redraw tool. No change in color.

4: Changed MH back to MS. No change in color.

5: Close PowerGEOPAK and reopen the same file.

6: Change MS back to MH. Annotations for this point only change from ByLevel to 0.

7: Run Survey Redraw tool and all annotations in the file change from ByLevel to 0.

If you can't duplicate this I can make a video of what I'm seeing. Our full workspace can also be downloaded from here: mdotjboss.state.mi.us/.../getDocumentById.htm;fileName="MDOT_02_Workspace_2016-08-26.zip"

  • I can duplicate it somewhat in your original file but when I create a new dgn from one of your seed files, link the survey feature definitions that are in your workspace, then import the survey data you attached earlier, I can not duplicate it.

Here is a video of the steps with the me test dgn I created from your seed file.
