InRoads SS4 Replacing Vertical geometry (with native geometry)

Hi,

I've tried some import and export geometry tools and i have an issue with following situation:

- I have horizontal geometry, vertical geometry and corridor (with point controls, parametric constrains etc.)

- I need to export my geometry to native and there make some important changes.

- And now it is necessery to import this geometry back to InRoads SS4.

  

Is it possible to do this process without losing my corridor data? which means, is it possible to import only vertical geometry?

    It depends.

    If the geometry originated in an ALG file and you have imported in to SS4 then you can make the change in the ALG file and import over and over and the SS4 geometry will update and corridor integrity will be maintain.

    If you developed the geometry in SS4 as soon as you go back to ALG and edit anything, the next time you import the geometry it will import a new element. For example, export RampA, make changes in ALG file, import RampA, the resulting element will be named RampA1. This will NOT maintain the integrity of the corridor.

    Unfortunately this is one of the key shortfalls with the SS4 product to date.

    Is it not possible to make the changes required using the SS4 geometry handles in the profile model?
