Open Roads SS3 project - SS4 project issues

Question

I am in the process of upgrading Open Roads files from the SS3 version to the SS4 version. I was successful with the horizontal\vertical geometry and terrain files but I am running into some issues with the corridor files. 
 I open MicroStation with Geopak SS4, select one of my corridor files, I then receive the dialog to update the civil data so I select "Yes" but then MicroStation\Geopak just sits there and does not open the file. I take a look at the Windows task manger and can see that the MicroStation application is not responding but the cpu usage is between 30-40% so it seems something is going on. Even after a 20 min. wait time nothing happens. If I end the MicroStation application I am still able to open the file using Geopak SS3. 
 Any ideas?

I did, eventually, get one of the corridors converted. It appears that the upgrade is working it is just taking longer than I expected. The reason being is that the corridors are complex and the design stages are set to final with linear templates design stages set to final as well as civil cells with very tight tolerances. 
 
So, note to self to set the design stages so the tolerances are not as tight before upgrading to SS4.
