Is this still the solution to the problem? I have the exact problem: tentative snap not working when accusnapping on something. I have ss4, so I assume this "maintenence release" should be built into the program already. If this is not the solution, do you know what it could be to get ?

yes, mr2 is version .876. I thought you were on ss3 since you said you were using .722 above.

Forgive my ignorance; I just use the software, I'm not in IT. I assume mr2 is maintenance release 2, correct? Is that MR2 for Microstation or GEOPAK? My current versions are: Microstation 08.11.09.714, GEOPAK 08.11.09.845

More info on problem: seems to occur when GEOPAK is active, regardless of user workspace (including "examples"); tentative works as expected in Microstation alone. GEOPAK version: V8i SS3 08.11.09.722. Not sure how to attach a file but here goes attempt #1.

Can you post the file or a small part of it? I'm not sure offhand what else may be causing this.

I changed my settings to match these but the problem persists. I also noticed the "working" snaps I mentioned before (ex. key point) do not allow a tentative lock either if the yellow "X" appears.

Try right clicking on the Accusnap icon in the snaps toolbar and choose Settings. See if the settings are enabled like the screenshot. On the Feel tab you can change some settings to affect the sensativity.
