Instead of reprojecting the data, have you tried setting the Georeference option in the references to "AEC Transform"? The results appear better but I am not certain on the orientation of the data and how it should attach to the DGN.

No, I don't see any attachments on the reply. You may have to go to the 'Advanced Reply Editor' to Insert/Edit Media to attach the file. It can only upload 1 file so you may have to place it in a zip folder to attach.

Hi Chris,

I realized that I was going wrong by using the “Reference From” or “Reference To,” since that was changing the original data. I realized that the prompt in the reference menu to Orient: Geographic-reprojected was what I really needed.

Just the same, I’m getting a situation where the reprojected reference is only getting some of the graphics into the new GCS.

Here are the DGN’s. Zone3 should be referenced into Zone 4.

Attached you’ll find the files with nothing but graphics. I removed civil elements. The result is no better with just graphics.

Can you send in a sample dataset so we can test this issue? Please include detailed information on the files you are working in, the files you are referencing/projecting and the geographic coordinate systems you are setting for the references. I am not aware of an issue you would run into with it altering the original information in a DGN that is referenced, so we would need to look at this issue.

Also, what version of InRoads and MicroStation are you using?
