Mallory, you say that you've established some End Condition Exceptions there, are they Transitions? And have you edited the transition range in that area to make sure that the forward and backward solutions connect properly?

I am questioning the transition between the cut and fill lines. Essentially I want to avoid hand grading when possible because we have this scenario in multiple areas within the project.

I just have one template running through this section with end condition exceptions turned on to add the modified embankment as needed (rather than the traditional fill section which is in the template.)

Thanks for the input! I will look into these suggestions.

BTW - if you establish just a horizontal line with no vertical, the slope on the end condition should solve when targeted, however your ditch point may go deeper to accomplish this. Not sure if you would be ok with that.

Are you questioning the transition between the cut line and the fill line? or the rounded contours? What are templates drops set to?

As a suggestion to transition this correctly you may want to establish a Horizontal and Vertical control line. Make your horizontal alignment at the cut line from say station 629 or 628 to the fill line around station 630. Your can use the "import vertical from surface" command and target the original surface. Then in your point controls, have your cut line target that alignment.
