Feature Definitions

I am trying to get a ditch bottom centerline and slope stake line to show up in my design file.  In Project Explorer, under Civil Standards, Feature Definitions, Linear Default Settings, I have "Automatically Create 3D Elements" and "Crete Template Geometry" set to True.  When I process the corridor, the message center displays "Invalid Geopak name [ProfileBy Template] is too long." and "Invalid Geopak name [Profileby Template], geometry not stored." and the lines are not displayed.  What do I need to do to get the features to display?

Thanks.

  • What is a default profile name? Since you're using Geopak project files, whether it's through OpenRoads technology or not, you need to follow all the naming conventions, meaning no spaces, and there's a maximum length of name. You may need to look at the name of the component or point within your template.

If there is a way to disable automatic export (to Geopak) of some of this geometry, and of course if you don't need these elements to be exported to Geopak, then you might find a way to circumvent this.
