I am trying convert our 2D background information into a 3D SUE model and then as I receive the daylighting results adjust my model.
I am able to use the extract utilities from graphics tool to generate the original model. For example, when you say you create two nodes and a conduit between them, the rules used to define the conduit are best described as "conduit between two nodes". Thus you can redefine the conduit by changing the end nodes, or you can insert bends (from the context toolbox).

For extracted graphics the rule conduit is defined by its source graphic.

For the profiles, these also can vary depending on how it was originally modeled.

If you can provide a sample of what you have and the needed manipulation then I can better describe how to accomplish the desired result.
