Proposed Cross Section Tool crashing MicroStation

I am trying to create proposed cross sections using shapes I have created in another .dgn file. When I run the tool, it will plot the first section for me without any issues. As soon as I continue to the next section, I receive the attached message. Regardless of which option I choose, MicroStation and Geopak will then crash and shut down. I have tried restarting my computer and even running the tool on a coworker's computer. Neither of these have solved my issue.

  • Sorry, more information would have been helpful. Yes, this is Geopak SS2 and yes, I mean that it is also crashing when I try to run the cross sections on a coworker's computer.

The project is located on ProjectWise, so I also tried exporting it to our office's local network, but am still facing the same issue. I have also detached all references in an attempt to make the file as small as possible, in case that was causing the hiccup. Neither of these have resulted in a solution either.
  • Have you tried stepping through the process with the Criteria Viewer option? It would help to know on what cross section the error occurs and exactly what step.

Clearly the offending step is either being eliminated from other cross sections by a conditional, or it is a matter of locating a line, or something altogether different. For all I know, it could be happening upon getting to that specific cross section.

Also, what is InjectVersion? I've never seen that come up in all my Geopak adventures.
  • I tried running the tool with the Criteria Viewer option and it still crashes. I do not see the criteria displayed anywhere to where I could send you a snapshot.

As far as InjectVersion, I have no idea what it is either. I googled "InjectVersion for Windows has stopped working Bentley MicroStation," but was unable to find anything helpful.
  • Old post but since we cannot get anyone from Geopak to chime in, we also get this issue along with other firms. Our engineers tied it to having multiple GPK files with in the same directory. Delete or move them and the issue should go away. Hope it helps someone.
