When you have the Project Manager box on your screen, activate the edit option and make sure the working directory entry is filled in.

I did check all the pathing but still received the same message that the gpk was unable to be opened. I backed-up all my folders and files and then deleted the old project and gpk, build new pathing and gpk and project files. Most of my data was in process of being revised anyway so did not matter to just replace the gpk. However, it would be helpful for future reference to know if there is a way to repair a gpk that gets damaged?

I believe there is a command in COGO called "rebuild gpk" ( or something close to that). I've used it on a copy of the gpk file many years ago. As I remember it also compresses the file as well.

I have used something similar in the past but also cannot find, all my apps do not specify what they do exactly. There are several GPK* apps and maybe civil tools but without knowing what they do, I am taking chances with my data. Is there any way to determine the specific key-in command that "re-builds / cleans" the gpk file?

I found the command... it's "rebuild database". You can google this and find instructions. Be sure to do this to a copy of your gpk.
