Plan Annotation SS4 (Previously - surface>annotate feature)

There is no equivalent function in SS4, as of yet. When the Connect edition is released is will have all the plan production and labeling tools the older software had. Until then you must create a terrain model and export to native to do any annotation.

How do we export a complex model containing linear templates and point controls? When i export to native the only functionality that seems to be exported is the horizontal and vertical alignments. This would make annotating the surface features a proper mission as the design would effectively need to be re done in SS2.
Its strange as i can annotate cross-section features exactly as i would have in SS2 so the intelligence is there just not the button....

Best way to get where you want to go (a DTM with feature lines) is to use the Feature Selection filter to create the terrain model. Of course this requires that you have properly set up the filter to select the correct 3d elements.

One tip when using this command. You MUST be in the Default 3d model while running the command.
