'Filling' low lying areas (where ponded water occurs) with Geopak Site

The low lying areas that are shown in your capture can be written to the dgn file as shapes and then those shapes can be assigned the desired elevation and contour feature in your surface.

Beebe, I don't think will give the desired results. We'll also need to remove the existing triangles within the fill areas. A void would eliminate the existing triangles but it will leave a hole in the TIN.

My thought is to drape the pond outlines on the existing TIN as breaklines and make them into a surface. Then we need to remove all the triangles that form between the ponds. To do that we create a region for the area outside the ponds and add it as a void. Lastly we paste the filled pond surface into the existing surface. Not sure if it will work.

It would be easier to treat each filled area as a separate site object. Drape the outlines as you say, but for each drape make an object and merge with your final design in FIFO

I did not think of using the (obvious) shapes as an outline for site objects...thank you.

Robert, would this method give me the correct fill required for this site? Also, I am not familiar with merging objects within the FIFO menu...can you elaborate on this process?

Yes, that would account for the fill volume in the low spots as well. FIFO is the merge list of site objects. Edit Model is what I am referring to.
