OK, that explains that - but shouldn't it refer to cant stationing instead of superelevation? I would have ignored it, if it had been.

But if we need to redefine the stationing, is there a way to deal with Roadway Designer superelevation?

To be honest, this has always been problematic. Sometimes we get direction to extend or shorten an alignment. Or they will ask us to assign a particular station to a particular point, long after we have created our profiles and on occasion, after beginning our superelevation designs.

Making these type of adjustments usually requires some hoop jumping to get the stationing re-synchronized between these three parts of the design. Somehow, we need a way to lock superelevation PI's and and vertical alignments PI's to a specific point on the alignment and if we lengthen, shorten or reassign a starting station value, the physical locations that these occur at are retained but the stationing numbers adjust accordingly.

The superelevation option is utilized within the Bentley Rail products and is still needed in the product. In InRoads it is not used.
