ALG Issue

Hi all,

I am having an issue with a project alg. One of the team members was using the alg and when they shut down InRoads, it did not free up the alignments. No one else is able to get read-write access to the alignments and when the person who originally locked them up goes in, they are not able to free up the alignments. I looked in the folder to delete the .lck file for the alg but there wasn't one. Any ideas on how to free up our alignments?

InRoads Version: 08.11.07.619

Thanks,
Jeremy

  • This happens sometimes when you ccrash as described.  To fix, do the following:

    1. Open the ALG
    2. Right click on the geometry project name and select Details
      1. You should get a dialogue box that appears that lists all the alignments and the current access (read/write).  In your case they should be all set to read only and you should also see that they are all listed as checked out to someone.  That someone being the person who had it opened when it crashed
    3. Highlight them all
    4. Hold "CTRL" button down (I can never remeber if it is CTRL, ALT, or SHIFT so if CTRL does not work try another one) and select Free on the right side
    5. You will then need to check them all out bu highlighting them all and select Check Out
    6. Once you do this you should be able to close the ALG and it should return to the normal access operation.
