GPK_AUTOPWJOBDIR

Can someone explain what exactly the GPK_AUTOPWJOBDIR Configuration Variable does? I have read the following description but it just make sense to me. If someone could help me understand what this variables does and how it should be used that would be great. Thanks

In projectwise, it is required to set the user preferences for the job directory (gpk) location. This variable automatically set's the job directory to be the same as the active project folder in projectwise.

I have tried to do that but haven't been able to get it to work. It doesn't find the gpk file when I go to cogo and try to find it.

the variable is explained like this

GPK_AUTOPWJOBDIR

Used to help control the location of the GPK file when working in a ProjectWise environment. When the configuration variable is set, the COGO Job Directory will automatically be set to the value of the configuration variable PLUS the current ProjectWise folder.

Example:

GPK_AUTOPWJOBDIR=s:\data\projects\

current PW Working Directory=pw:\data\projects\340814\

COGO Job Directory=s:\data\projects\340814\

make sure that your folders are set up so that they can just be added to the variable and still be a valid path to the gpk
