How To Model Multiple Excavations On A Single Jobsite

Hello, 
 Been experiencing some learning difficulties trying to figure out the best way to model multiple excavations for structures on the same jobsite. The excavations would be within and around existing buildings of a wastewater treatment plant. I use to model excavations via the 'Site Modeler' tool but that was done away with when I updated to Power GEOPAK. 
 Just wondering what might be the best way of being able to cut in multiple excavations if I have an existing topo surface of the plant. 
 The only way I've found so far of modeling a simple excavation as this: https://communities.bentley.com/products/road___site_design/f/5922/t/112704 Not sure if this method can be applied to multiple excavations near one another.

If you were familiar with Site Modeler then you would see some similarity in the Vertical Geometry Tools that are in PowerGEOPAK. You would use those tools to assign elevation to your horizontal geometry. There are also 3D Tools in the Civil Task Menu that can create horizontal and vertical geometry elements by slope (similar to the side slope tool in modeler) 
 
Once you have the horizontal and vertical geometry defined you would place them in a terrain model and then use the terrain model tools to create a merged surface.
