Thank you. Changing the structure types to User Defined solved these problem.

I did look at it, the only thing I have found is that your node feature definition properties have the structure type set to Fitting. If you change that to for example inlet or manhole then it will place the lateral. So you can test your data and make that property change in the feature definition for the particular node you are using to connect the lateral from. Set the structure type to manhole or inlet or User Defined.
