Place a lateral command problem

Question

When I try to use the command "place a lateral" it does not work out for me. I use an existing stormwater pipe, adding a new pipe and node with the same type as the existing pipe. The only product of the command is a point on the correct level, but no pipe or node is placed. What could be the problem?

I did look at it, the only thing I have found is that your node feature definition properties have the structure type set to Fitting. If you change that to for example inlet or manhole then it will place the lateral. So you can test your data and make that property change in the feature definition for the particular node you are using to connect the lateral from. Set the structure type to manhole or inlet or User Defined.
