I am having difficulty using the tools provide for survey processing of field files. I see places where I could edit a feature line if permitted, but they are grayed out.
ie "Manage Point List" or "Insert Point to Linear Feature"
What am I doing wrong
Hi Eric,
You are not doing anything wrong; however, you do need to add one additional step to your workflow.
Select your feature, and the run the Convert to Point List Linear Feature tool before you apply the Insert Point to Linear Feature command.

I'm new to SS4. I've used the tool shown above but cant seem to find a way to convert multiple features at a time. My example would be an interstate highway survey with 100' cross sections. The survey work ends one day at full section and begins the next day one section away. I've got 50-100 breaklines that need to be connected together. as is, I have to select each individual element and hit that. I've seen in another post I should be able to select multiple elements and convert in one shot but it doesn't seem to work on my end. It will only convert the last one I had selected? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
