Any chance this forum will be changed to have sub-forums for the different civil/land dev products (InRoads, PowerCivil, Geopak, etc.)

There is a way to have it both ways. When the user creates a new post, the poster would be required to select from a list the software to which the post is specific. If the post is more general in nature, General could be one of the availble options in the list. But to enable submission of the post, a selection would have to be made - no default, unless the poster can specify a default in his or her profile or something. Upon submission a tag would automatically be applied to the post in accordance with the poster's selection. Readers could then choose to filter the posts (or not) via the tag which should be made available in a drop down list in the forum.

That was looked into. After consideration, it was determined that there were simply too many possible "What if?", "Oops!", "This applies to more than just...", ad infinitum things involved. This is NOT to say that things will be as they are now going forward, mind you -- only that this site is intended to change based on what happens, not on what might/should/may happen.
