  • Extending on Andrew’s suggestions…
It could be access related. Make sure folder has R/W privilege as per Microsoft design and intended usage of local user profile data. Do check with your IT if UAC (User Account Control) is enabled. Disable UAC and test.
    C:\Users\{UserName}\AppData\Local\Temp\Bentley\MicroStation\8.11\

Right Click on MicroStation shortcut and “Run as administrator”.

Note: We generate temporary .ma (resource) files to load MDL Addins that do not have a .ma file provided (or required). This is standard MicroStation behavior

  • The issue does occur when using Microstation without Geopak loaded.

Our machines have AutoTurn, Guidesign, and Axiom Office Importer & Title Block Administrator, but crashes occur without these additions being loaded.

Our company has not had this issue in past years, the problem is recent within the last 4-6 weeks.

Occurs on multiple PC's across multiple office locations.

Our IT informed used me that all users have full read and write access ('Full Control") to the file path shown above. (c:\users\username......)

Attached are the crash logs. Microstation Crash Info.zip

  • Kindly run plain MicroStation vanilla build without any custom applications and reproduce the crash. Attach the latest crash logs here.

The current crash log is from "Jun 07 12:32:55 2016" and from a very old version "MicroStation version 08.11.07.443"
