The Profile Insert Curve tool is what I need, but it doesn't let you set the horizontal position of the vertex by picking elements in the 2D plan view (like you can with Profile Between Points). Instead, I'd have to directly enter measurements in the profile view.

Otherwise, I need to build a new complex profile of three separate elements, which does let me pick points in the horizontal view.

Both ways work. It's mostly a question of convenience.

Hi Joel,

To insert a vertical breakpoint, select Vertical Geometry>Profile Insert Curve.
