Template End conditions

Hi all

I have a template end condition problem. When i view the cross sections it shows the entire drain on the LHS even when the NGL is sloping away from the template. So iv tried some display rules to stop this which works when testing but not in practice so iv abandoned that idea for now.

The quick fix im attempting is running end condition exceptions over the areas where the template is solving other than how i want. Now the problem is that what is displays in the cross sections and what it allows me to edit in the end condition exceptions is different.... The end condition seems to solve exactly how i want it to so i feel i dont need to change it, but the cross sections still come out showing the entire drain. So how do i get the cross sections to show what the end conditions show or the end conditions to show what the cross sections show? Im fine either way as long as i can fix the problem one way or the other but having two different simultaneous solutions is a bit of a bugger.

I have attached to pictures showing the cross section and the portion that shouldn't display and the end condition editor showing exactly what i want with the incorrect portion drawn in in blue.

Thanks

  • Hi David,

I can only base this response on looking at your images and the description of your problem.

    • Ensure that Add Exterior Boundary is checked before creating your surface.
    • Ensure that your foreslope (between LT_FILL_TOP and LT_DITCH_BACKSLOPE) targets your Active Surface and possibly reduce the horizontal constraint from LT_FILL_TOP to ensure that it does not extend beyond Existing surface.
    • Also, you may consider two End Conditions:  one that create your foreslope only and a second that creates your ditch based on the horizontal distance once your LT_DITCH_BACKSLOPE extends beyond your lowest component.
