Units? Cubic Feet?

Openroads volumes are in Cubic Feet?    Why is it not in Cubic Yards?   Why do I have have to do additional math and take the information out of the civil product?

How long will this take to get fixed?

  • This is one of those examples where the granularity of MicroStation settings is insufficient to be relied upon as a replacement for what was an InRoads/GEOPAK/MX setting. The round off factors for many civil tasks varies by the units or status of the item. For example the round off for feet units is different than what would be used for Acres. Elevation values for proposed hard surfaces are usually reported to 2 decimal places, while existing and soft surfaces are rounded to a single decimal. Coordinates on the other hand have traditionally rounded to 4 decimal places so that bearings are less impacted by rounding errors.
