I'm trying to cut cross sections from a horizontal alignment (intersecting street) that is 100' long with only two points. I need a cross section at the beginning, middle and end of the alignment but for some reason using the Create Cross Sections Tool will not cut them for me. Not sure if it's the short length of my alignment as there's other alignments that are a bit longer and will actually cut cross sections for me with only two points as well. Is there a minimum length that alignments need to be in order to cut cross sections? If yes, what's the needed length? Below is the version of Microstation and Geopak that I'm using. Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Microstation: 08.11.09.714
Geopak: 08.11.09.845
When you are trying to cut the sections, what is happening? Are you getting any sort of message or error when trying to cut the sections? Are you using Custom Cross Sections to define the stations which should be generated?
I have tested this in PowerInRoads 08.11.09.878 on an alignment I created which was 40' and it cut my sections without any issues. I have not seen or heard of issues with cross sections not generating on short alignments/elements.
