I am trying to use a terrain analyze tool and I keep getting the negatory symbol and this message popping up when I attempt to select the terrain: "Terrain State is Invalid" The tool was working fine earlier today, does anyone know how to get it back on track and why it happened in the first place?
Thanks for responding Amita. I am using MS with Geopak SS4 version 08.11.09.832. The file I am working with has two survey datasets and two distinct terrain models. The other terrain model works just fine. I have tried making them active and clearing them to no avail. I may try importing the dataset into a separate drawing all together to see if it is an issue with the dataset or just a bad model. Attached is a screenshot. Thanks for looking into my issue, let me know if anything jumps out at you.

hello,
i am using the most recent update to ORD and having an issue with lidar data from North Carolina DEM. I import the .las file and it looks fine. Then I reference it to another file to use as the active surface and I get an error message. When I open the 3D dgn again the terrain state is invalid. I have also noted an exception log generated by this operation to a CifExceptions folder in my appdata. I do not recall this issue prior to the update.
This is a very old thread, and a lot of people may not read all the way to the bottom here. You may get better response by starting a new thread.
I know that you mentioned the "most recent update", but it may be more helpful to give an actual version number. You may want to attach the exception log to your post as well, in case there is information others can use to help figure out your problem.
