First of all, THANK YOU!!!
However, just ran it and when importing the XML through Survey/geometry/Import it ran for a few seconds and then Windows shut down PCi with the infamous "Send Error Report message?" Since I am so knew at this, is this the proper place to import, the impression I got was that this is for Geometry only (from the menu heading)?

I kind of missed the beginning of the thread..
PowerCivil and GEOPAK Site have a LDD import it is located on a typical install ...
C:\Program Files\Bentley\PowerCivil\Civil\bin\LDD
You will need to click on the .exe to launch it. It is a one way import. while I have not used it yet I believe it will import Geometry and surface information to XML for use in a project.

Thanks Michael!
Should have stated earlier that is what I was using, worked easily and quickly. It was importing the xml file I was having trouble with. It creates an xml for the ldd project, so where do I import the whole project at?
Any chance you can email me the xml created?

If it is too large (over 3 megs) I will send you an ftp link.
Cogo > Import > alignments and profiles
DTM Tools > Utilities Import Land XML (or a direct import of surface Land XMLs can be done in Modeler Project > Import Data)
We could use some clarification on this new feature. The import from LDD tool generates a single XML file that seems to contain points, alignments and surface models from the LDD project. Power Civil does not seem to be able to utilize this XML file so there must be some new tools to import from this new XML file.
