This tool works fine with placing sheet clips shapes in multiple models with Geopak ss2.
As soon as I open the plan/profile sheet composition tool, a message appears that reads: "Missing Application Data. Input missing data?". If I click yes, it wants to know the PSL file, what type of sheet, the GPK, the chain name and the motif file. I have never used motif files because I always have my view attributes set to use current design file. I have never seen this error message before and use this tool all the time. If I click no and continue to work, the error pops up several times and when I try to clip my sheets, it says, "Unable to process sheets. Missing Motif file".

There was a geopak.exe process running this morning, and I ended it. I also deleted everything in the 8.11 folder. Then I started from scratch creating a brand new profile and PRJ and new DGN and I still receive this message. Yesterday, I tried filling out all the information it wanted. I just picked the DGN I was in as the motif file and the sheets processed, but the only thing in the DGN was the sheet. Then I changed my view attributes to use the motif and it never let me select a motif from there, and it still didn't attach my profile to the sheet or anything at all as a reference. Then I couldn't get the error message to pop back up again to remove the motif file or change it or anything. I tried deleting my resource files yesterday as well, but I'm not sure I got everything because I don't know where they all get stored.

Thanks.

RE: Geopak plan and profile sheet composition tool

what version of geopak are you running?

make sure there are no hanging geopak.exe processes running in windows (task manager)

Delete everything under the 8.11 folder

Let me try again..

The designer I'm working with wants to place the clip shapes for each alignment into a different model of the microstation file. RampA clip shapes would be placed into microstation model "Ramp A". Ramp B clip shapes would be placed into Microstation model "Ramp B". etc...

Again, seems I can do this without any problem back in Geopak ss2. But, in Geopak ss4, I get an error message that reappears that I have to "OK" through multiple times (the error reappears over and over). In fact the error repeats the EXACT number of times that represent the other clip shapes in the other microstation models that aren't active. So, if model Ramp A has 5 clip shapes and model Ramp B has 7 clip shapes, I'll get the error 12 times when I try to create clip shapes into model Ramp C.

RE: Geopak plan and profile sheet composition tool

yes, it is supposed to create models within the dgn.
