Hi, Using InRoads 8.08.00.46 and trying to generate cross sections. The problem is that some of the components are not displaying properly. For example, I have my Left lane component sloping the opposite direction in the cross sections or 2 curbs at different elevations appearing or 2 lane components stacked on top of each other, etc. However it is not doing this in Roadway Designer and furthermore the same templates are used elsewhere in the corridor and they work there. The only unusual thing maybe is that I am using point controls to vary the roadway width by following alignments. But if it works in Roadway designer and elsewhere in the corridor why would it not work elsewhere.
Sounds like maybe your proposed dtm was not emptied prior generating your surface again from the Roadway designer. If it wasn't emptied, it could leave components from previous iterations in the dtm which could explain the multiple components showing up in your cross sections.
Toggle on Empty Design Surface in the Create Surface box.
Nstyka,
Have you performed a Component Properties query on the the components in the cross sections? Or displayed the component in plan view?
Here is how you do it. Load the data for the supect cross section set. Snap to or "hover over" one of the unwanted components. This should "tooltip" the component name, surface, style etc.
Then go to Surface > Feature > Component Properties: Select the suspect component in the list box and select List. This will pop up a report on the component, it's station range(s) and it's parent features. See if there is some sort of problem with the component and or the features that "own" the component.
The other way to check to see if it acutally is in the DTM is to display components in plan view.
Otherwise you may need to send the data for further debug.
