I have been seeing some Errors in the Terrain model display in SS4 InRoads. The image below shows what has been happening. The red line is the DTM from and SS2 cross section while the green line is the exact location showing an SS4 display of the original ground. The red line is correct and the green is not. Any reason why terrain models would not de displayed correctly in the SS4 cross sections? I have look at the actual terrain models triangles and they do match exactly in the models i.e. triangle leg for triangle leg between SS4 and SS2 surfaces. The one main difference is the Triangles in SS4 are a mesh due to the nature of the SS4 triangle display. This has become a pretty significant issue, it seems to happen quite often. This happens in the dynamic cross section view and the plotted cross section.

I will try and send the data set. The path below is the data set zipped up. The dgn named geometry contains all the data. The default model has the roadway and bridge 3D models as well as geometry referenced in. There is one cross section model named CH_BR10_6 that was cut from the data in the default model. Note that I have also referenced in a set of cross section from SS2 that displays the Original ground model correctly. If you have questions please let me know. My SS4 version is 08.11.09.878.

I created a dgn from SS2 with the dtm triangles displayed. I referenced that dgn into your dgn with the SS4 surface. I saw that the triangles are not actually identical between the surfaces. I have a screenshot showing some of the difference in lime green (SS2) and teal (SS4). The highlighted feature is your 50+75 cross section on the left side, near offset -20 to -40.
Then I used the Import From File command under Terrain to import the x13j084og.dtm, and the triangles exactly match and the cross sections are identical. Have you done any editing to the surface since you imported it to SS4? I would suggest trying to import the surface again using Import From File, and let me know if you see the same issue when you cut your cross sections.
