Do you have a definitive transition length defined? In some instances, you want virtually an instantaneous change from one template to another but in other areas, you want a gap between the last station of one template drop and the start of the next. It is within that cap the the transition occurs.

not working for me.. i did removed the constraints.. when i check transition editor through the slider, that shows up right, but i'm unable to see the proper transition in the actual model.

After you map the points, make sure to check what constraints you need and then delete the rest. I find this a good way to control the slopes transitions.

Hi Andrei

I'm facing same kind of issue with transitioning between templates, can you please help me with how managed to solve that issue?

I have change in slope transition, the difference of slope is not distributed throughout the transition length and i am seeing drastic increase over an interval length.

Would you provide more screen shots, and arrows pointing directly to the problem? Also, a screenshot of the transition window. It will be hard to nail down exactly what is happening without your itl.

As I told you before I can not upload my templates. The thing is that I tried different ways to map the points but still I get that area (Bottom Mesh) on top of the blue component.

To answer your question: "Do all points need to be mapped?" That is up to your design intent. If you do not map the points, then they will begin/end abruptly at the start/end of the specified template. This is demonstrated around time 1:30 in the first video I posted, "Create Transition in Corridor." She has two points in her second template that are not mapped. Notice how they begin abruptly.

I followed the workflow described in the videos, I manually mapped the points, because I have components that need a transition from a shape to another shape. Also I have points that don't have a corresponding point in the other template, but do all points need to be mapped?

Hi Andrei,

I believe from previous posts that you are using SS4. I suggest taking a look at these two wiki videos that go over template transitions:

You may need to manually change how the points are mapped between the first and second template. If there are transitions that are generated wrong, then delete that point connection and correct it. Then make sure that you have deleted all the proper constraints. If you upload your data through the Advanced Reply Editor, I can take a look at the transition for you.
