Hello,
I am attempting to add a Drape Boundary(drawn with regular drawing tools) to a terrain model. I am getting the error message "Drape boundary will intersect itself" when I try to select the boundary feature. Not sure what this means, or how to fix it.
I am able to successfully use this shape as a "Boundary", however the edges of the terrain tie to the shape, which is at Z=0.

Any advice would be helpful,
Thank you,

the sooooo often asked question:

Hi Dave, can you upload your dataset here: https://bentley.sharefile.com/r-r25becd470d443489
Have you tried with the Feature Type Draped Boundary?
Same issue "drape boundary will intersect itself"
Is it possible in ORD to add boundary which is excluded from triangulation?
Have you tried creating a terrain without the boundary, and then using the boundary shape as a clipping element - make a clipped terrain.
will try clip
