Instrument heights missing in PowerCivil V8i

I have just upgraded to PowerCivil for Americas V8i V 08.11.05.37 from PowerSurvey XM (as it is no longer supported).

I am in the process of creating a new dataset by importing raw survey data from a Trimble DC file and have noticed that the instrument heights have not come through, so that the instrument height field only displays 0.000

Needless to say, this is rather frustrating as I have to view the raw survey data to obtain the correct height then manually enter this into the Survey Editor.  I encountered the same error before in a previous version of PowerSurvey and was assured that this had been corrected for the V8i release.

  • Chris,

    I thought this has been taken care of. I'll check on it.

  • Chris,

    I had someone check and the problem you reported was fixed in PowerCivil V8i.

    At the time, the problem was that Trimble changed their codes from one version to the next. Code 02NM from Trimble V10 is an old code (or obsolete code) that was replace by E0NM in the Trimble version V10-70.

    We would need your raw file to see what is going on. Please log a help request with GEOPAK and we'll figure it out.

  • Derricke,

    I have emailed through the raw Trimble DC file through to Bentley Support.

    The DC file in question is a V10-70 and the instrument height field is indead preceded by the E0NM code, as seen below (underlined and in italics);

    There is obviously still an issue here and I appreciate your's (and Bentley Support's) prompt response to this and look forward to a swift resolution.

    Regards,

    Chris.
