ConceptStation - Placing components on template error

Version 10.00.04.45

When creating a new template to edit, 2 things are happening that, I am unsure if they are related, but is cause the editor to be unusable.

  1. Minor error - The grid is crooked when first opening the blank template. This can be straightened out when I go to the "3D View" from the "Editor view" and back.
  2. Major error - When placing components onto my template, the component being added is not being placed directly under my cursor. Instead, the component is located way off in space.  To try to describe where the component in placed...  It is the same distance and angle off of my curser than the cursor is to some random origin point on the editor stage. (The cursor is always the at the midpoint between the component and a random origin point). I have attached a PDF to try to show this.

As a result of this I am unable to place components onto the template I am editing.

  • Chris,
Thanks for the response, however this did not solve my issue (I did the fit view trick about 30 times). For now, my workaround is to create the templates in a new project, and then import the templates into my project. It only seems to be this one particular project that is messed up, all of my other projects function properly.

    Thanks for the response,
    Michael
