I am busy trying to understand the developments in the quantity generation methods of ORD. For PowerCivil you guys posted the following article
"Component Quantities - What are my options using OpenRoads?"
Please can you provide a similar type of article on the ORD Connect functionality including the removal/relocation of the "end area volumes" functionality as well as the addition of the "Quantities report by named boundary". For our in-house training i prepared a table for our team and then further explained the available methods as well as a best practice to achieve project deliverable. This best practice was a combination of two methods. An updated article would be extremely useful.
Clipping boundary honoured
Are cut/fill quantities honoured
Element component Quantities
Corridor Component Quantities
Corridor: End area volumes
MicroStation Element Information
Terrain Modelling: Create Cut & Fill Volumes
Yes, we will certainly get an article written which will outline the available options in ORD CONNECT. I don't have an estimated time on when that will be available but we have found this article for SS4 to be very beneficial to users. Here is a link to the article mentioned in the above post:
Yes, the 'Quantities Report by Named Boundary' was a nice addition tot he program requested by users. The Clipping boundary should be honored using this method.
