ORss4 Create terrain from graphical filter NOT using highest features

Question

I would like to use the "Create Terrain from Graphical Filter" tool to create my proposed surfaces from my corridors. My templates don't have unique feature definitions that are solely representing the desired surface. Instead, in many places, I have the same named feature definition assigned to the top AND BOTTOM component points. When using the Create terrain by graphical filter, I would expect ALL the 3d linestrings to be discovered, but ONLY THE TOP to be used in the resultant terrain model. Unfortunately, I'm not seeing this result. The terrain consistently uses some of the features that are LOWER than other features when creating the terrain. Should this be expected? I'm sure I could probably better assign my feature definitions to uniquely classify the top surface, but feel like this extra work shouldn't be necessary. thoughts?..

The logic to step along the top/bottom of a template is only used in the creation of the Top/Bottom Mesh as far as I know. As you've noted, the Create Terrain from Graphical Elements adds all selected elements regardless of their location. If you don't want to use the Top Mesh for your terrain, then you will have to segregate the top level points some how (Alternate Surface might be another option).
